Diane Roberts
Employee of the Month, January 2010
Diane started working in the veterinary field in 1989 as a kennel attendant, and in 1995 she graduated Veterinary Technology school at Cedar Valley in Lancaster, TX. She has worked for Dr. Adoue as a Registered Veterinary Technician ever since!
Diane has ten 4-legged children. Six cats - Kitties, Sabrina, Buster, Cybil, Harley, and Piston, and four dogs - Precious, Copper, Dixie, and Brandy. Her two youngest dogs are very lucky and get to go everywhere with Diane and her boyfriend, which includes camping, 4 wheeling, hiking, biking, motorcycle riding, fishing, skiing...pretty much anything outdoors and in Colorado!
Judy Brooks
Employee of the Month, December 2009
Judy joined the Angel team in 2003 after retiring as a very successful elementary school principal. Because her second lifelong dream was to work with animals, we lucked out when she chose to work with us! The relationships Judy has built with our clients and her "above and beyond" customer care philosophy, make her an amazing and indispensable asset! In her own words, "I love developing relationships with our clients and their pets and being able to make a difference in their lives when they need it the most."
When not taking care of all the babies here at Angel, Judy enjoys spending time with her family and four-legged children: Lucy, Buddy and Versace (Lucy & Buddy are pictured here). She also enjoys painting, cycling, gardening, reading and taking an active role in various aspects of animal rescue. Thank you Judy for all you do for the animals - both at Angel and for those that are less fortunate!
Murray Myers
Employee of the Month, November 2009
Murray joined our animal care team a little over three months ago, and things haven't been the same since...in a good way! In fact, starting in January Murray will begin working as a veterinary assistant with Dr. Lane and Dr. Hartai; he will be specially trained to assist them with patients receiving rehabilitation and alternative medicine services.
Born in Houston, Murray received his BA from University of St. Thomas in environmental studies and political science. His future goal is to head west and pursue a master's degree in sustainable development, but we are hoping we'll have him for at least a little while longer! His commitment to the environment is unfailing - during his first week at Angel Murray set up a recycling program and continues to collect and dispose our recyclables on his own time. Fortunately for us, Murray is just as dedicated to animals and they adore him as well!
Murray's menagerie at home includes two dogs, Alfred and Petey, and two cats, Max & Nefertiti. When not keeping us in line at Angel, he enjoys volunteering, biking and "catching up" on classic literature.
Mike Madrid
Employee of the Month, October 2009
Mike is one of the most popular employees at Angel - he has a very loyal fan base with both our clients and coworkers! As a veterinary technician Mike works most closely with Dr. Unger and together they make a formidable doctor/tech team. Even though he is always busy, Mike is always there to help his teammates and answer questions (he almost always knows the answer!).

Employee of the Month, Sept. 2009 Amazingly, Shelley joined Angel's receptionist team last July when the practice made the big move from across the street into our current building; the fact that she stuck by us through that craziness says a lot about her character! When she is not helping our clients and their pets, you will usually find her at school, where she is studying nursing, or at the gym. Her own pets consist of Zoe (pictured here) and a turtle named "Sthpeedy," but in her heart she feels that all of our clients' pets belong to her...at least just a little bit! She also has an especially soft spot for Beagles! |
