This page is dedicated to the memory of the wonderful pets we have had the honor to care for over the years. While they may no longer be with us, they will remain in our hearts forever. If you would like to share memories and photos of best friends that have passed on, please email them to us and we will post them on this page. It can be a comfort and support to others who are struggling with the loss of a loved one to learn that they are not alone.
Snickers was my best friend. From the first day we brought her home, she was my little shadow. We bonded quickly, and she was always there for me. I was lucky enough to be able to bring her to work with me and whenever I was having a bad day, I could always take a break to pat her on the head and scratch her belly. That simple connection with her always made my problems not seem so bad. Even though she loved to dig a cool spot to lie in under the hydrangeas and go in-and-out through the dog door a hundred times a day, we loved her more than anything. She was indeed a good dog! We will always miss you Snickerpoo. You had a positive impact on so many people in your life. ~ The Patterson Family
I've add a few pictures of Avis our Lab who we miss more than words can say. She always took great pictures. I knew it would be hard when the time would come to say good bye to our girl but never thought it would be when she was only 7 years old and so unexpectedly. It was the most horrible day of our life. The house is quiet and lonely without her, and I still look for her in the backyard. There is a huge whole in my heart that she once filled. I'm thankful that we have so many pictures and videos of her to remember the fun times we had. She was a true water dog that LOVED the lake and second best was her swimming pool. Even in the coldest of winter she would jump in the pool. Water Bound Lady "Avis" was more than a dog - she was part of our family and will forever be missed. ~ Becky & Brad Ruthrauff
Lucy was always considered "the other dog." She was quiet, second behind either Dixie or Daisy, and always the most considerate of other pets and people. Lucy was a rescue dog. I found her on the 4th of July and tried to give her to my dad who promptly returned her to me. She grew up in Dallas before moving to Flower Mound. Here she became good friends with the kind vets and staff at Angel Vet -- she had many visits there, both in sickness and in health! When her companion dog Dixie passed away, Lucy seemed lost. Again, the kind staff at Angel Vet found her the perfect sister dog, Daisy, and Lucy just adored her! They became fast friends -- always sleeping side by side and watching out for one another! (In the picture, Lucy is the red dog, and Daisy is yellow/tan.) We lost Lucy to very old age - she was almost 18 when she passed away in April, 2010. Though she had difficult walking, she never wanted her family to feel sorry for her. She was a strong-willed yet very kind dog. Lucy was my dearest dog friend. I and all my family will miss her very much. ~Lisa Blocker, Bonnie Blocker. and pet family Daisy and Olivia Blocker
We loved Liberty - she was a great dog. She was 7 years old when she passed away and she was a great sister and family member. Losing her is very hard but we know she is in a better place and feeling a lot better. We love you Liberty with all of our hearts, and we miss you dearly. ~ Love your friends and family
Our beloved Abby, came to us when she was 4 years old. We stopped, rather randomly,at the FM City pet shelter, and she was there. She was perfect for us from our first meeting. Gentle in everyway, she became our girls constant companion. Her love and presence was constant. She was known throughout our neighborhood as the "good dog" because she would walk by your side without a leash, she played with all the kids---babies to teens, and she jumped in the pool, swimming with everyone, during our annual 4th of July parade. On her cremation cedar box, we wrote "Abby, we loved you, but you always loved us more". That is the truth. My oldest, 11, who had never experienced the death of a pet before Abby, asked me why God didn't make a miracle and save her. I explained that we did get a miracle, it was the day we stopped at the shelter and she became ours. We miss her dearly. ~ The Nulf Family
Esther was my son Vance's pet rat and she was beloved by our whole family. We love and miss her dearly but know that she is in heaven watching over us and no longer suffering. ~ Lisa Findley
Bijou was a very special dog, he never once hurt a soul...he will be missed immensely. I know that someday we will meet up with him again...until then, we will hold on to the sweet memories shared. ~ The Broussard Family
Dear Angel Veterinary Center, I just dont know what to say, you all have helped me so much to make everything as easy as possible. I am very greatful for the time taken out of your busy schedule and the kindness I have received. I just wanted to say thank you so very much for helping in the final transition with my precious Cherie. ~ Elke Alford
Attached is a picture of my very loveable Tippie Dog aka Pooie Bear taken last summer. My husband and I adopted Tippie from the SPCA in March of 2003. I wasn't a dog person but the SPCA was at the mall while we were their and Tippie, just shaking in the crate, stole my heart and I just had to take him home with me. We were told he was a Chihuahua mix but didn't know with what so when ever anyone asked what kind of dog he was I always said he was a Tippie Dog which is how he got his middle name. On December 22, 2009 after battling cancer and loosing a toe, including chemo and radiation in 2004, and then fighting kidney failure this past year my loveable Pooie Bear lost his fight. My husband and I along with Tippie's canine brother and sister miss him dearly. Our home is not the same with out Pooie but I know we will see him again on the other side of the Rainbow bridge. Until then I can always look at his brick outside at Angel and remember how wonderful he is. ~ Barbara Coates
Lily (formerly named Rani) was adopted from DFW Dachshund Rescue by Edith and Thorsten Prutz. Her former owner had died, and paramedics discovered the little dog with the deceased owner. They took her to the animal shelter, and the shelter personnel called DFW Dachshund Rescue. Lilly was a spunky, loving little dachshund who did have some problems with her gait. We thought she might have had a back injury in her former home. Despite this, Lily loved life and people. Go, go, go was her motto! Edith and Thorsten loved her and gave her the very best life she could have had; even though it was shorter than all of us had hoped. We know she is safe at the Rainbow Bridge.
